What We Do
About us
The Indigenous Grassroots Circle of Eastern Ontario (IGCEO) is a non-profit organization led by and for Indigenous people. We are a circle of connection—linking individuals, families, and communities to cultural teachings, peer support, and community-led solutions.
Our work is grounded in relationality, Indigenous knowledge systems, and a commitment to grassroots empowerment.
Our mission
The Indigenous Grassroots Circle of Eastern Ontario (IGCEO) is a non-profit organization that has established unity throughout the Eastern Ontario community. We are a Circle of Métis, First Nations, Inuit and non-indigenous (allies) volunteers who create Indigenous led and themed events as well as the development of community and economic projects that will benefit the entire community.
Our vision
We envision a future where Indigenous peoples are empowered, respected, and thriving in every part of their lives—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Why it matters
We are living through a time of both healing and reckoning. True reconciliation starts with listening, learning, and returning power to the people who have been left out for far too long. The Indigenous Grassroots Circle holds space for those voices—lifting them up, and turning them into action.
