Walk of Sorrows

Come and join us for the second Walk of Sorrow for Orange Shirt Day on Friday. Our first walk was so beautiful and truly captured the spirit of the community with the empathy they showed for those that attended residential schools and 60's Scoop Survivors and honouring the thousands of Indigenous children who never made it back home. Details of this year's walk are in the discussion section.

Let's show up again and continue to support the healing process of survivors and remember those lost. Our gathering offers educational experiences through imagery, music (traditional and contemporary), storytelling and visual arts for those who are still on their journey of learning. Community partners will be there for you to meet and to hear how we are all working together toward one goal..."Unity in Community"

Elders and counsellors will be on-site for anyone who may experience emotional triggers and difficulty. Please understand that in order to teach the truth, there will be images and stories that may trigger some participants. We will do our best to give ample warning.
